Throw me into the world
To notice little things,
From the throbbing of my heart
When I go silent with the wind.

To the nooks that hide
Cobwebs in my room,
And the walk that drives
My legs out of the gloom.

While the moon seeks
Respite from the clouds,
The sun rides another day
For the crowd.

When the leaves make
The green look dull,
The parks open
For your plaguing skull.

And butterflies flit
To find their role,
While the birds they wing
Their wonted stroll.

Droplets race
To find a winner,
Would barely matter
In the chaos of river.

Like people flying
In and out,
Struggling for life –
Put to rout.

Vehicles buzzing,
Their engines off,
As if they have always
Tried to stop.

The sky so black
Has gone so blue,
For there are things
That you can’t undo.

But wait for nights
To bring those days,
That walk in with
Fresh beaming rays

To draw you out
Of your bed,
To write new stories
Inside your head.

And you find them
Every waking time,
Fiddling with your
Future climb.

There’s your quiet
In that book,
The one you picked
To have a look.

Turn the pages,
Burn them all,
Find your ending
In its scroll.

But all the tales
That you always read,
Don’t have to be
A book you need.

There is life around,
You can always find,
Telling you a story,
Worth your time.

Hark and follow
The sounds of life,
The world around
Is still alive.
