When Villains are Heroes

Browse By

When you ever read
Or watch a movie,
Don’t ever feel sorry
For the good guy.
Always root for the villain.

Don’t cheer
When the righteous wins,
Clap when the sinner
Burns down a village,
And holler when they take away
Everything from the knight.

When the outlaw rides his horse
To trample on the weak,
Stand in his corner and laugh
When hooves squash their hearts.
‘Cause hearts look better shattered.

When a victor is stabbed,
Mock their ugly scar,
‘Cause that’s what they will carry
For the rest of their lives.
Don’t feel sorry
For the men who fall.
Kick those dead dogs,
And shoot the ones who still
Might have had a chance.

Marvel at the jewels
A brigand loots,
They carry hard-earned
Bags of sentiments.
Offer guns to the bandit
To loot more towns
And burn your cigarettes
On the flesh of innocents.

Steal from those
Who offer you food,
And gorge on every last bite
So they stop trusting strangers.
Mess their world up,
Make them curse
The wretched day
They ever met you.

If there is love,
Well, there can’t be love forever.
That only makes
These stories boring.
Squash it the moment
You see something good.
Relationships are for those
Who think they must build
Walls to protect their kind.

Smash their walls,
Plunder their homes.
Kill their thoughts
Before they grow ideas
Of revolt.
They should not retort
At anything you say
It’s a perilous world
Where things don’t need
To make sense.

Live the ruffian way
When you have a cold heart.
Don’t read for the heroes
Who carry these stories.
They don’t exist anymore
In the real world.
Watch it for the villains
Who make these stories count.
They are everywhere around.
