The Convent is a product that originated from one of my websites, The Darkest Blog—a place where all my fearful, anxious thoughts gathered to create stories out of thin air. Some were narrations, while others were pure figments of my imagination. I kept building upon the blog, secretly hoping that one day I would find the rarest of gems within it and craft another anthology.

And so, The Convent was born.

The title is based on its first chapter, which I felt perfectly captured the chilling horror vibe I was aiming for. But the book isn’t limited to what its name might suggest—it ventures into various uncharted territories. These stories have stayed with me for a while, and I kept asking myself: Why am I not sharing this with the world?

These are amazing stories! Even now, when I think about them, I get excited—about the way a particular plot unfolded, or how a reader might feel when they reach a certain twist or climax.

I had to share it with the world.

Though the book was technically complete a year ago, one reason or another kept pushing it further down the rabbit hole, making it harder for me to finally release it.
